Indonesia · On-the-ground · Sourcing & due diligence

Find, verify and prove Indonesian suppliers — so EU and US buyers can place goods with confidence.

NusaProof is the on-the-ground team of Daraya Global LLC for SME importers in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the US. We search and shortlist suppliers, verify licences and capacity, run factory audits, and assemble due-diligence evidence — including EUDR and Lacey Act compliance — for wood and teak furniture, coffee, cocoa, rubber, palm derivatives and other Indonesia-origin goods.

The compliance clock is real — and so is the sourcing gap

EU and US buyers need reliable Indonesian suppliers and documented evidence. EU operators placing EUDR commodities on the market need plot-level geolocation, legality evidence and deforestation-free checks against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off. US importers of wood and furniture need species, harvest country and due-care documentation under the Lacey Act. Finding and verifying the right factory still needs people on the ground.

Supplier discovery is hard remotely

Registry searches and inbox outreach rarely reveal true capacity, quality or licence status. Shortlists built from field visits are more reliable.

EUDR deadlines

30 December 2026 for large and medium operators; 30 June 2027 for micro and small operators (timber already under EUTR: 30 Dec 2026).

Indonesia = standard risk

Under the EU country benchmarking, Indonesia is standard risk. The simplified low-risk path does not apply — full due diligence is required for origin in Indonesia.

One field team, two markets

The same sourcing and verification work supports commercial buying decisions, an EUDR due-diligence file and US Lacey Act due-care documentation.

EUDR timeline

Application dates and the deforestation cut-off, as set out in Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 and summarised on the European Commission page. This is not legal advice — verify the current legal text.

  1. 30 Dec 2026

    Large and medium operators

Main EUDR obligations apply, including due diligence and due diligence statements.

  2. 30 Jun 2027

    Micro and small operators

Deferred application for micro and small operators, except timber already covered by the EUTR.

  3. 30 Dec 2026

Micro and small — timber already under the EUTR

Timber products already covered by the EU Timber Regulation follow this earlier date.

  4. 31 Dec 2020

    Deforestation cut-off

Relevant commodities must be deforestation-free after this cut-off. It is a land-use reference date, separate from when obligations start to apply.

Legal basis: Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650.

The Commission page states that products added by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 (for example soluble coffee and certain palm-oil derivatives) apply from 30 December 2027, to give businesses time to prepare. Confirm against the current legal text; this site is not legal advice.

Full service line

Practical field work across sourcing, verification, audits and compliance evidence — not a software licence and not a legal opinion. Pick modules or a bundled package.

Supplier search & shortlisting

Find and shortlist manufacturers and traders in Indonesia against your product, volume, quality and price brief — with company-registry checks and a comparison table.

Supplier verification

Legal-document and licence checks (e.g. NIB, SVLK/V-Legal where relevant, export permits, company registry extracts) with a clear findings memo.

On-site factory audits & capacity checks

Independent assessment of capacity, equipment, quality systems, labour practices and samples. Documented with photos, video and a written report — not an official certification.

EUDR due diligence support

Geolocation plots (points/polygons) from suppliers or licensed local partners, deforestation-free cross-checks against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off, and support assembling your due diligence statement (DDS) evidence pack.

Lacey Act & chain of custody

Species data, harvest-country documentation, chain-of-custody outline and due-care evidence support for US wood and furniture importers.

Pre-shipment quality inspection

Lot checks before shipment against your specs: quantity, dimensions, finish, moisture, packing — with photo evidence and a pass/fail summary.

Sample sourcing & consolidation

Request, collect and consolidate samples from one or several suppliers; arrange packing and dispatch to your EU or US address.

Ongoing monitoring retainer

Per-shipment updates, new plots and documents, periodic satellite re-checks and priority field capacity under a monthly retainer.

Clear division of roles

We deliver evidence, sourcing reports and a documented methodology. You, as the operator or importer, file your own due diligence statement (DDS) or Lacey declaration. Legal responsibility cannot be transferred. NusaProof does not provide legal advice and does not assume legal liability.

Commodities we cover

Focus on Indonesia-origin goods for EU and US buyers — especially EUDR Annex I commodities and Lacey Act wood/furniture needs.

Wood, teak & furniture

Sawmills, workshops and furniture makers — legality, species, capacity and plot evidence.

Coffee

Estate and smallholder supply — sourcing, geolocation and documentation for EU first placers.

Cocoa

SME exporters and processors — plot data and chain-of-custody support.

Rubber

Natural rubber supply chains needing plot-level evidence for the EU market.

Palm derivatives

Selected palm-oil derivatives for SME importers — scoped carefully; majors often already covered.

Vanilla, spices and essential oils are outside EUDR Annex I and are not sold as EUDR compliance services — but we can support commercial sourcing and quality checks on request.

Why on-the-ground in Indonesia

Presence where suppliers work

Team across Indonesia — we visit manufacturers, workshops, sawmills and plantations rather than relying on inbox promises.

Language and access

Work in Indonesian with local partners, and report to you in English or German. One counterpart for sourcing, quality and evidence.

Honest about licences

We position as consulting and evidence support. Formal geospatial survey work, where required under Indonesian rules, is done by licensed local subcontractors or by the supplier themselves.

Engagement models

Choose the shape that fits your buying cycle. All prices on request after a written scope.

Per supplier

One supplier, one product line or full plot set — sourcing shortlist, site visit and/or full evidence package.

On request

Per shipment

Evidence refresh or pre-shipment inspection tied to a specific consignment.

On request

Retainer

Ongoing monitoring and priority field capacity for a defined supplier set — monthly cadence, prices on request.

On request

Custom package

Bespoke mix of search, audits, compliance and inspection scoped to your commodity and volume.

On request

Introductory “from” prices are listed on each service page. The final fee follows a written scope. Travel outside the Lombok, Bali and Java metro areas may be billed separately.

FAQ

Do you take over EUDR due diligence for us?

No. Due diligence and filing the DDS in TRACES remain with the operator. We provide evidence from Indonesia and document our methodology so you can use it in your system.

Is SVLK / V-Legal enough for EUDR?

SVLK is important legality evidence but does not replace plot geolocation or deforestation-free verification against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off. We combine both.

What about the US Lacey Act?

For wood and furniture imports into the US, importers need species, harvest country and due-care documentation. The same field dataset can support Lacey filings alongside EUDR preparation.

Can you find suppliers even if I do not need EUDR?

Yes. Supplier search, verification, factory audits, samples and pre-shipment inspection stand alone. EUDR and Lacey Act support is one key line within the broader service.

When do EUDR rules apply?

Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026. Micro and small operators: 30 June 2027. Timber products already covered by the EUTR also apply from 30 December 2026. Always verify the current legal text.

What is Indonesia’s risk classification?

Indonesia is classified as standard risk under the EU benchmarking. Full due diligence applies; the low-risk simplified path does not.

Do you handle customs clearance?

No. We support export-document preparation and coordinate with your forwarder. Customs declarations stay with your forwarder or licensed customs agent.

Which languages do you work in?

English and German for clients; Indonesian (and Russian where helpful) in the field. Reports in English or German.

Are you a certification body?

No. We provide due-diligence support and independent supplier assessments. We do not issue accredited certifications or legal opinions.
