Supplier verification

A name on a shortlist is not a verified supplier. We collect and review the documents that show the company exists, is licensed for what it claims, and can support export — then we write down what is solid and what is missing.

From €290

What's included

  • Company identity and registry extract (NIB and related filings where available)
  • Licence and permit review matched to the product (SVLK/V-Legal for timber, CITES where relevant, export permits)
  • Cross-check of names, addresses and tax IDs against what the supplier sent you
  • Support assembling origin, phytosanitary, packing-list and related export papers when they sit with the factory
  • Plain-language findings memo: confirmed, incomplete, or contradicted

Deliverables

  • Indexed document pack (copies or certified extracts as the supplier provides them)
  • Findings memo with open points and recommended follow-up
  • Optional translation notes for key Indonesian documents
  • Handover suitable for your buyer file, EUDR legality folder or Lacey due-care file

Process

  1. 1

    Document list

We agree which licences matter for your commodity and market (EU, US or both).

  2. 2

    Collection

We request documents from the supplier, chase gaps, and collect what can be obtained from public registers.

  3. 3

    Review

Names, dates, product scope and consistency are checked. Formal geospatial survey work is not part of this module.

  4. 4

    Memo

You receive the pack plus a findings memo. Remaining gaps are listed so you can decide whether to proceed.

Typical timelines

Several working days to about two weeks once the supplier cooperates. Waiting on a missing licence is usually the long pole — we flag that early.

Who it's for

  • Buyers who already have a candidate factory and need a document reality check
  • EU operators assembling legality evidence for an EUDR file
  • US wood/furniture importers building a due-care trail

Per-commodity notes

Wood, teak & furniture

SVLK/V-Legal is important legality evidence. It does not replace plot geolocation or the 31 Dec 2020 deforestation-free check. We say so in the memo.

Coffee, cocoa, rubber

NIB, exporter status and any plantation or processing licences are the usual core. Plot evidence sits in the EUDR module.

Palm derivatives

Licence and mill identity are scoped carefully. Some palm derivatives are treated separately under later EUDR product-list updates — we do not treat that as legal advice.

How engagement works

Usually scoped per supplier (one legal entity, one product family). Can sit on its own or as a step before a factory audit or EUDR pack.

Pricing approach

Document support

Introductory from €290 for a focused licence and export-document pack on one supplier.

Heavier reviews

Multi-entity groups, CITES, or a full legality folder for EUDR/Lacey are quoted after scope.

Introductory “from” prices. The final fee is set after a written scope. Travel outside the Lombok, Bali and Java metro areas is billed separately. Not a binding offer.

FAQ

Is SVLK / V-Legal enough for EUDR?

No. SVLK is legality evidence. EUDR still needs plot geolocation and a deforestation-free check against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off. We combine both when you add the EUDR module.

Do you handle customs clearance?

No. We support export-document preparation and coordinate with your forwarder. Declarations stay with your forwarder or licensed customs agent.

Are you a certification body?

No. This is document collection and a findings memo — not an accredited certificate or a legal opinion.
