EUDR due diligence support

EU operators placing relevant commodities on the market need plot-level geolocation, legality evidence and a deforestation-free check against 31 December 2020. We work in Indonesia to collect and structure that evidence. You remain the operator: you file your own DDS in TRACES. This is not legal advice.

From €1,500Founding clients: from €1,050

What's included

  • Supplier document collection and indexing (licences, trade and transport papers, SVLK/V-Legal where relevant)
  • Plot geolocation as points or polygons, provided by the supplier or collected with licensed local partners where Indonesian rules require it
  • Remote deforestation screening against satellite sources (including Global Forest Watch) for the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off, with map extracts
  • GeoJSON delivered in a TRACES-compatible shape so your team can use it in the Information System
  • Methodology note describing what we did, what we could not obtain, and residual gaps

Deliverables

  • Evidence pack: documents + GeoJSON + satellite extracts
  • Chain-of-custody outline from plot through processor to intended shipment, as far as the supplier can show it
  • Findings and gaps memo — you decide inside your own due-diligence system
  • Pilot: one supplier, one product line. Full package: all plots of one supplier

Process

  1. 1

    Scope

Commodity, supplier, product line vs full plot set, EU vs dual EU/US use of the same dataset.

  2. 2

    Collection

Documents and geodata from the supplier; licensed local partners where a formal survey is required.

  3. 3

    Screening

Deforestation plausibility against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off; legality papers reviewed and gaps listed.

  4. 4

    Pack & hand-over

Structured pack plus methodology. You assess and, if you proceed, file the DDS yourself.

Typical timelines

A pilot pack is typically about 2–4 weeks once the supplier cooperates. A full plot set takes longer, especially for smallholder coffee or cocoa with many polygons. Geodata collection is often the slow step — plan weeks, not days.

Who it's for

  • Large and medium EU operators preparing for 30 December 2026
  • Micro and small operators planning for 30 June 2027 (timber already under the EUTR: 30 December 2026)
  • SME importers of Indonesia-origin wood, coffee, cocoa, rubber or selected palm derivatives who need field evidence, not software

Per-commodity notes

Wood, teak & furniture

SVLK/V-Legal supports legality. Plots, species and the 31 Dec 2020 forest-degradation/deforestation check still have to be evidenced. Timber already under the EUTR follows the 30 Dec 2026 application date even for micro and small operators.

Coffee

Estate vs smallholder mix matters: many small plots, often without formal boundaries, consolidated at mill or exporter. Green and roasted coffee are in the current Annex I discussion; the Commission page states that soluble coffee added by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 is described as applying from 30 December 2027. Verify the current list.

Cocoa

Similar smallholder aggregation. We map what the exporter can actually show — farm lists, polygons, and where lots are blended.

Rubber

Plot-level evidence through collection points and processors. Mixing lots without identity is a common gap we document rather than paper over.

Palm derivatives

Scoped tightly for SME importers; majors often already have programmes. The Commission page notes that certain palm-oil derivatives added by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 are described as applying from 30 December 2027. Not legal advice — confirm the product list in force for your CN codes.

How engagement works

Pilot (one supplier, one product line) or full supplier plot set. Monitoring is a separate monthly retainer. You always receive a written scope before we start. We do not file the DDS for you.

Pricing approach

Pilot evidence package

Introductory from €1,500 (founding from €1,050) — one supplier, one product line, documents + GeoJSON + satellite check, typically 2–4 weeks.

Full supplier package

From €3,500 — all plots of one supplier, legality check, chain of custody, EUDR + Lacey-ready data where relevant.

Monitoring (follow-on)

From €290/month — per-shipment updates, new plots and documents, periodic satellite re-check.

Introductory “from” prices. The final fee is set after a written scope. Travel outside the Lombok, Bali and Java metro areas is billed separately. Not a binding offer.

Founding-client offer: the first five projects receive 30% off the first project, in exchange for process feedback.

EUDR timeline

Application dates and the deforestation cut-off, as set out in Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 and summarised on the European Commission page. This is not legal advice — verify the current legal text.

  1. 30 Dec 2026

    Large and medium operators

Main EUDR obligations apply, including due diligence and due diligence statements.

  2. 30 Jun 2027

    Micro and small operators

Deferred application for micro and small operators, except timber already covered by the EUTR.

  3. 30 Dec 2026

Micro and small — timber already under the EUTR

Timber products already covered by the EU Timber Regulation follow this earlier date.

  4. 31 Dec 2020

    Deforestation cut-off

Relevant commodities must be deforestation-free after this cut-off. It is a land-use reference date, separate from when obligations start to apply.

Legal basis: Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650.

The Commission page states that products added by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102 (for example soluble coffee and certain palm-oil derivatives) apply from 30 December 2027, to give businesses time to prepare. Confirm against the current legal text; this site is not legal advice.

FAQ

Do you take over EUDR due diligence for us?

No. Due diligence and filing the DDS in TRACES remain with the operator. We provide evidence from Indonesia and document our methodology so you can use it in your system. Legal responsibility cannot be transferred.

When do EUDR rules apply?

Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026. Micro and small operators: 30 June 2027. Timber already covered by the EUTR: 30 December 2026. Cut-off for deforestation: 31 December 2020. Always verify the current legal text.

What is Indonesia’s risk classification?

Indonesia is classified as standard risk under the EU benchmarking. Full due diligence applies; the low-risk simplified path does not.

Is SVLK / V-Legal enough for EUDR?

SVLK is important legality evidence but does not replace plot geolocation or deforestation-free verification against 31 Dec 2020.
