Indonesia · On-the-ground · EUDR & Lacey Act

Field evidence from Indonesia — so EU and US buyers can place goods with confidence.

NusaProof is the on-the-ground team of Daraya Global LLC for SME importers in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the US. We source and vet suppliers, verify plots, and assemble due-diligence data packages for wood and teak furniture, coffee, cocoa, rubber and palm derivatives.

The compliance clock is real

EU operators placing EUDR commodities on the market need plot-level geolocation, legality evidence and deforestation-free checks against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off. US importers of wood and furniture need species, harvest country and due-care documentation under the Lacey Act.

EUDR deadlines

30 December 2026 for large and medium operators; 30 June 2027 for micro and small operators (timber already under EUTR: 30 Dec 2026).

Indonesia = standard risk

Under the EU country benchmarking, Indonesia is standard risk. The simplified low-risk path does not apply — full due diligence is required for origin in Indonesia.

Field gap

Satellite tools help at the desk. Collecting reliable polygons, permits and chain-of-custody from Indonesian workshops and smallholders still needs people on the ground.

One dataset, two markets

The same origin package supports an EUDR due-diligence file and US Lacey Act due-care documentation for wood and furniture.

What we deliver

Practical field work and structured evidence — not a software licence and not a legal opinion.

Supplier sourcing

Find and shortlist manufacturers and traders in Indonesia against your product, volume and quality brief — with company-registry checks and a comparison table.

Supplier vetting & site visits

On-site assessment of capacity, equipment, quality systems and samples. Documented with photos, video and a written report. Independent assessment — not an official certification.

Geolocation & field verification

Collect and structure plot geolocation (points/polygons) provided by suppliers or licensed local partners; cross-check remotely against satellite data for the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off.

Due-diligence data package

Indexed supplier documents (e.g. SVLK/V-Legal where relevant), GeoJSON in a TRACES-oriented format, legality notes, chain-of-custody outline and species data for Lacey Act filings.

Ongoing monitoring

Per-shipment updates, new plots and documents, and periodic satellite re-checks under a retainer — so your evidence stays current as volumes grow.

Clear division of roles

We deliver evidence and a documented methodology. You, as the operator or importer, file your own due diligence statement (DDS) or Lacey declaration. Legal responsibility cannot be transferred. NusaProof does not provide legal advice and does not assume legal liability.

How it works

  1. 1

    Briefing

Clarify commodity, volumes, target market, suppliers and compliance needs. Intro call, typically 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Scope & quote

Written scope: per supplier, per shipment or retainer. Prices on request.

  3. 3

    Field work

Sourcing and/or site visits; document collection; geolocation coordination with suppliers or licensed partners.

  4. 4

    Package & hand-over

Structured evidence package with GeoJSON, document index and methodology notes ready for your DDS / due-care file.

Commodities we cover

Focus on EUDR Annex I goods originating in Indonesia, plus US Lacey Act needs for wood and furniture.

Wood, teak & furniture

Sawmills, workshops and furniture makers — legality, species and plot evidence.

Coffee

Estate and smallholder supply — geolocation and documentation for EU first placers.

Cocoa

SME exporters and processors — plot data and chain-of-custody support.

Rubber

Natural rubber supply chains needing plot-level evidence for the EU market.

Palm derivatives

Selected palm-oil derivatives for SME importers — scoped carefully; majors often already covered.

Vanilla, spices and essential oils are outside EUDR Annex I and are not sold as EUDR compliance services.

Why on-the-ground in Indonesia

Presence where suppliers work

Team covering Lombok, Bali and Java — we visit manufacturers, workshops, sawmills and plantations rather than relying on inbox promises.

Language and access

Work in Indonesian with local partners, and report to you in English or German. One counterpart for sourcing, quality and evidence.

Honest about licences

We position as consulting and evidence support. Formal geospatial survey work, where required under Indonesian rules, is done by licensed local subcontractors or by the supplier themselves.

Engagement models

Choose the shape that fits your buying cycle. All prices on request after a written scope.

Per supplier

One supplier, one product line or full plot set — sourcing shortlist, site visit and/or full evidence package.

On request

Per shipment

Evidence refresh tied to a specific consignment: updated documents, CoC and geodata for that lot.

On request

Retainer

Ongoing monitoring and priority field capacity for a defined supplier set — monthly cadence, prices on request.

On request

Prices on request. Final fee follows written scope. Travel outside Lombok, Bali and Java metro areas may be billed separately.

FAQ

Do you take over EUDR due diligence for us?

No. Due diligence and filing the DDS in TRACES remain with the operator. We provide evidence from Indonesia and document our methodology so you can use it in your system.

Is SVLK / V-Legal enough for EUDR?

SVLK is important legality evidence but does not replace plot geolocation or deforestation-free verification against the 31 Dec 2020 cut-off. We combine both.

What about the US Lacey Act?

For wood and furniture imports into the US, importers need species, harvest country and due-care documentation. The same field dataset can support Lacey filings alongside EUDR preparation.

When do EUDR rules apply?

Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026. Micro and small operators: 30 June 2027. Timber products already covered by the EUTR also apply from 30 December 2026. Always verify the current legal text.

What is Indonesia’s risk classification?

Indonesia is classified as standard risk under the EU benchmarking. Full due diligence applies; the low-risk simplified path does not.

Do you handle customs clearance?

No. We support export-document preparation and coordinate with your forwarder. Customs declarations stay with your forwarder or licensed customs agent.

Which languages do you work in?

English and German for clients; Indonesian (and Russian where helpful) in the field. Reports in English or German.

Are you a certification body?

No. We provide due-diligence support and independent supplier assessments. We do not issue accredited certifications or legal opinions.
